Opening Hours & Sessions
At The Wendy House, we aim to provide flexible childcare options to suit every family’s needs.
Opening Times
We are open Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 18:00pm.
Our nursery operates 50 weeks of the year, closing for:
- Two weeks at Christmas, and
- All Bank Holidays (these days are not chargeable).
Session Options
We offer a range of sessions to fit around your family’s schedule:
- Full Day (10 hours) – 7:30am–17:30pm or 8:00am–18:00pm
- Morning Session – 8:00am–13:00pm
- Afternoon Session – 13:00pm–18:00pm
Our rate is £7.00 per hour, and we do not charge for any consumables.
Meals & Snacks
All children are provided with a healthy breakfast, which consists of a range of wholewheat cereals and wholemeal toast. We also provide morning and afternoon snacks of fruit and vegetables at no extra cost. We do ask that parents provide their own healthy and nutritious lunch for their child to have at the Nursery.
Government Funding
At The Wendy House, we’re pleased to offer the following childcare funding entitlements:
- Tax-Free Childcare – available for working parents
- 15 Hours Childcare – for eligible 3-4-year-olds
- 30 hours childcare for working families - for eligible 9 months - 4 year olds
- 15 Hours for 2-Year-Olds – for families receiving support
These funded hours are offered over 38 weeks per year (term time only).
Please note: Any additional hours beyond your funded entitlement will be contracted and charged weekly, including throughout half terms and school holidays.
