At The Wendy House we pride ourselves on offering individual attention and care to each and every child we look after.
Our Practitioners
Our nursery practitioners are carefully selected for their experience, recognised qualifications and ability. They all contribute to creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for your child to play, learn and develop. We encourage ongoing training and development for our staff, and they are all fully qualified first aiders.
Our nursery facilities include:
- Indoor and outdoor play areas for all ages
- Baby and toddler rooms
- Preschool play room and Messy room
All children are provided with breakfast and snacks throughout the day.
Baby and Toddler Rooms
We take babies from 3 months old up to
2 years 9 months. We provide a stimulating experience for them which we do both outside and inside.
We have a variety of toys as we believe children learn best through play.
We follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), which is the government curriculum. We have a staff to child ratio of 1:3 for 0-2 years
and 1:4 for 2-3 years.
Pre School Room
We take pre-school children from 2 years 9 months old, until they go to school. We provide free flow play between rooms and the garden, and provide
a range of activities aiding in their development. We help them with the transition to school, by having their teachers in or speaking to them on the phone. We follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), which is
the government curriculum.
We have a staff to child ratio of 1:4 for 2-3 years and 1:8 for over 3 years.
